Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Consumer Lending Originations Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. As a Software Engineering Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: people management, partners with enterprise architecture to understand the enterprise capability model and create end to end test plans across all business domains, performs end to end traceability of upstream capabilities, to downstream capabilities, for end-to-end testing and partner integration testing. Participates in the business requirements and solution design review meetings, designs and executes Partner Integration Testing between client and external entities both upstream, and downstream, to the client application landscape. Analyze current infrastructure business processes across the enterprise to identify opportunities for automation. Define and document automation processes, best practices, automation frameworks, and oversee implementation/adoption. Collaborate with various teams to strategize and align long term solution for automation including roadmap, tools, framework and approach. Define automation processes to fill the gaps between the as-is processes and industry standard best practices. Candidates should have proficiency in: Quality and people management, Kafka, Elastic, Test Automation, Java, Gherkins, Selenium, CI/CD, web services (Restful and SOAP), Mongo DB, Oracle, prior banking experience preferred. Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
