Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Satisfactory completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Nuclear Medicine training program and/or ability to meet the requirements of Registry by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in Nuclear Medicine. Duties: Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures. Performs Nuclear Medicine diagnostic studies per Physician orders. Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology. Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures. Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation. Processes the images for radiologist review.
