As an Engineer on the Warfighter Support Team, you will join a small team of engineers working in a dynamic environment, performing a wide array of technical and support tasks. You will provide direct support to various warfighter communities relating to Missile Defense System (MDS) sensors. The team is involved in various areas such as warfighter education, Wargames and Exercises, radar analysis, capability deployment, operational support, threat modeling, radar educational videos, etc. This position requires domestic and international travel as an integral part of supporting warfighters and associated organizations. You will also be part of a larger Raytheon team within the Systems Engineering Directorate, which provides, develops, and maintains high fidelity performance simulations, executes system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), aids new business initiatives and develops & executes technology roadmaps. This is an Onsite role with a primary work location at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, CO. What You Will Do:
Support various warfighter organizations. Support radar education of the Combatant Commands and, in particular, Sensor Manager Cells on radar capabilities. Oversee Wargames and Exercises as you participate in planning conferences, technical interchange meetings, and system testing, and assist as the radar subject matter expert (SME) during execution. Contribute to the larger Missile Defense System (MDS) community & will support real world situations in support of warfighter needs. Be involved with analyzing operational radar data. Travel domestically and internationally in this role at approximately 25% to meet program requirements. Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience. Experience with radar systems and a background in the Missile Defense System. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer:
Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM). Experience traveling internationally and/or domestically to support business needs. Missile Defense experience, and knowledge of MDA elements and fielding configurations. Experience with Radar Analysis. Prior Military experience. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
