This role is accountable for the successful execution of the SAP delivery portfolio, including roadmap development, demand governance, vendor engagement, and financial planning. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP delivery experience, strategic leadership, and the ability to manage both people and budgets at scale.Core Job Responsibilities:Strategic Delivery & GovernanceOwn and evolve the SAP delivery roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and business valueLead the SAP PMO function, establishing governance frameworks, delivery standards, and capacity planning modelsManage and mentor a team of internal and external SAP project managersCollaborate with IT and business executives to shape long-term SAP strategy, including S/4HANA migration readinessEvaluate and prioritize SAP demand, ensuring alignment with capacity and strategic goalsLead vendor selection, performance management, and delivery oversight for SAP-related initiativesFinancial & Operational OversightManage financial planning for SAP programs and internal departmental budgetsOversee purchase order creation, tracking, and reconciliation with suppliers and service providersMonitor and optimize SAP license usage and spendEnsure accurate forecasting, budget tracking, and reporting across the SAP portfolioPartner with finance and procurement teams to ensure compliance with corporate policies and cost controlsDelivery ExcellenceEstablish and enforce delivery standards, methodologies, and KPIs across all SAP initiativesDrive continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and process optimizationEnsure consistent stakeholder engagement and satisfaction through structured communication and feedback loopsPromote quality assurance practices and risk mitigation strategies across the SAP delivery lifecycleFoster a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence within the SAP delivery organizationRequired Education and Experience:Education:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Business, Computer Science, or related field)Experience:12+ years of experience in SAP delivery, ERP transformation, or enterprise IT leadership rolesProven track record overseeing global SAP programs, including S/4HANA migrationsExperience managing cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external partnersStrong background in vendor management, budgeting, and strategic planningDemonstrated ability to manage financials, including departmental budgets, POs, and licensing costsAbility to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across business and ITPreferred skills:Experience leading SAP S/4HANA upgrade or greenfield implementationsFamiliarity with SAP demand intake and portfolio governance processesStrong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar delivery portfoliosExcellent communication and executive reporting skillsTravel:10-15%MISC:This is an onsite role located in IL location. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
