Position Overview:
The Generalist, Human Resources provides expertise and support to Mountain Pass, CA location across all areas within Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, but most noticeably in being an ambassador for the organization. The role will play an integral part of the employee and candidate experience through the recruiting and human resources life cycle from sourcing, screening, scheduling, travel arrangements, time and attendance, data integrity, onboarding, benefits, HR virtual and on-site experience(s). This role is located in Mountain Pass, California.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the various HR areas with ad hoc projects and tasks, including operations, compensation and benefits, talent development and training, employee engagement, and other functions.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating HR processes, systems and procedures, proposing solutions, and driving solutions to completion.
Facilitate tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry in HRIS and audits for accuracy and compliance.
Assist with system integration and optimization efforts for HR, including task tracking, documenting, monitoring timelines, reviewing resource needs, and driving results to completion.
Assist with full-cycle recruiting including strategic planning with the hiring teams, sourcing candidates, interviewing, screening, coordinating the selection and offer letter process, and supporting hiring requirements.
Partner with HR cross-functional teams with creating job descriptions, preparing offers, handling internal mobility, and other activities within the recruiting cycle.
Attend career and job events representing the organization.
Develop optimal processes to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources/Recruiting with proficiency using ADP and/or other HR systems and technology.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or relevant field of study.
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with HR cross functional teams, business operations, and other stakeholders within the business.
Demonstrated ability to interpret information, make suggestions, and drive change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to retain responsiveness in a vibrant, multi-task environment.
Desired Qualities:
Experience and/or strong knowledge of overall Recruiting/HR practices, such as time and attendance, compensation, benefits, talent management, DEI, and HR operations.
Experience working directly with/for senior leadership positions.
Experience developing and/or maintaining relationships with external organizations.
General project management skills and/or experience launching initiatives and programs.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Excel.
