The American Auto Shield Sr. Business Analyst is a full-time, on-site position at our Lakewood, CO office.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) to join our software development team as we undertake a critical transition from a current claims processing system to a modernized platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, systems are effectively transitioned, and data integrity is maintained throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an analyst of web applications, with a strong understanding of systems integration, data mapping, and stakeholder communication.

The Sr. Business Analyst earns competitive compensation from
$110,000-$130,000* Responsibilities What You Will Do in This Role: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, development teams, and QA to elicit, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements. Analyze existing claims systems and work with cross-functional teams to define clear functional and non-functional requirements for the new system. Follows Product Development Lifecycle and related business standards. Lead gap analysis between current state and future state to identify process improvements and system enhancements. Collaborate with data architects and engineers to define data migration rules, validation requirements, and ensure data integrity and consistency across systems. Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. Create and maintain artifacts such as process flows, user stories, use cases, data dictionaries, and mapping documents. Participate in system design reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Work with QA to ensure adequate test coverage related to business requirements and data accuracy across transition stages. Facilitate change management processes, including training and support documentation for end-users and operational teams. Monitor KPIs and success metrics related to the system transition and operational performance. Ensure regulatory compliance and data governance standards are adhered to during data migration and system rollout. Requirements What You Need to Join Our Team Required
Qualifications: 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity. Proven experience in large-scale system transformation or modernization projects. Expertise in data analysis, data mapping, and data integrity validation. Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Balsamiq, and SQL. Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience working on cloud-based platforms or enterprise system migrations. Experience working with UX designers or ability to create wireframes/ flow charts for the development team. Strong knowledge of claims processing systems (insurance, healthcare, or financial services preferred). Masters or Bachelors degree in business administration or related field (Preferred, not required). CBAP, PMI-PBA, CPO or Agile certification. Why work for us?
