The Role
As the Proxy and Shareholder Reporting Squad Lead, you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps and resource requirements, set and refine the mission, and bring together a team of chapter members to execute on specific product features. In addition, you will be in the escalation chain for significant impacting production issues and responsible as a central point of contact to assess impact, work through remediation and follow through to strategic solution to avoid similar issues in future.
You will ensure alignment on the what and when work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role.
The Experience and Skills you Bring Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred 10+ years of work experience Financial Services experience preferred Agile and Jira experience preferred Experience with AWS, API & data management and working directly with customers and understanding customer needs Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products and solutions Data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered Grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria Strong focus on execution and identify, communicate and remove impediments to progress Proven capability of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building hard-working teams Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to empower and establish team and partner support and alignment Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development and learning Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines Supporting and enabling squad member to be effective, productive and innovative Developing cross company and industry partnerships in order to align and move the product forward Participating in client and industry meetings to understand their strategic vision and aligning to the squad, tribe and domain roadmaps Delivering business results and customer value / identifying critical metrics to measure results
The Team
You work in partnership with the Shareholder Reporting Product Area Leader, other Domain related Product Area Leads, Squad Leaders, and Chapter Leaders aligned to your squad and applications. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you sustain and evolve our innovative agile culture.
The community you will join is responsible for Fidelity's mutual fund's fund reporting including financial statements, prospectuses, statements of additional information and regulatory filings. The highly sophisticated platforms supporting fund reporting are continually improved in response to challenges posed by, among others, changes in investment management strategy, the introduction of new investment products, and changes to upstream or interfacing applications.
