IT Applications Developer/Lead
Are you an experienced developer with a passion for leading projects that make a real difference? Nebraska DHHS is seeking an IT Applications Developer Lead to join our Information Systems and Technology team. In this key role, you'll provide leadership and technical expertise on web development initiatives, primarily within the .NET framework. You'll guide a team of developers, manage projects from start to finish, and collaborate across the agency to deliver impactful, user-focused solutions that support our mission of Helping People Live Better Lives! Job duties include: Coordinates work efforts while making assignments and ensuring completion. Prepares project and work plans, monitors work progress and quality. Prepares progress reports, resolves conflicts, provides input for performance evaluations and recommends approval of leave time usage. Lead and work with technical and business analyst to design system functionality and technical design. Develop and test .Net web application. Maintain existing web applications. Development of team standards. Develop vendor relationships and function as liaison with vendor as needed. Assists and mentors peers and subordinates. Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis, one year of which as a project coordinator, leader, or supervisor. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET, C#, ASP.Net WebForms and MVC, Entity Framework, Kendo UI for MVCASP, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, HTML, SQL 2012 Database or above, Subversion for code repository, Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint. Experience creating and supporting Reports via Microsoft SSRS. Working with DHHS systems. Experience in Agile. Experience developing applications using .Net Core, MVC, entity framework. Other: Regular and reliable attendance. No other office locations available for this position. Knowledge of: Kendo technical knowledge. Coordinating development work effort for multiple projects. Skill in: Being service oriented, have strong interpersonal and analytical skills that include working directly with various levels of business and technical staff to determine sound technical solutions for business requirements. Strong technical, organization and planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Good communication skills. Good organization skills. Ability to: Communicate effectively and handle organizational issues in a professional manner. Monitor work progress of developers to meet deadlines and work closely with BA and Solution Architect. Code tasks when needed at a complex level. Work with developers making sure tasks are completed on time. Organize workload in Jira.
