Minimum 12+ years' Experience
Mandatory skills - SQL Server administration required skills
Certifications Desired- MS certifications on MSSQL latest versions or AWS/Azure
At least 5+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work. At least 4+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role.
Knowledge and Understanding of ITIL process
In client facing role(s) for at least 3 years.
On call support for at least 3 years.
Excellent Documentation skills in MS SharePoint 2010 /2013, Confluence.
Knowledge on AWS Cloud services like RDS, S3, Redshift etc.
MySQL/PostgresSQL knowledge / experience.
Linux Knowledge.
Experience with Azure.
Experience with Snow Flake.
Experience in PowerBI.
Responsibilities
Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently. Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning. Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions. Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team. Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work. The candidate must be willing to provide on-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US and India. Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary. Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management process. Documentation & Operational performance reporting. Own Service Improvements. Execute on demand IT projects. Drive compliance to client and organization processes and policies. Ensure Quality of deliverables.
