Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building connections with guests by providing excellent customer service, upselling drinks, following recipes, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Bartenders should be knowledgeable about all details the drink and food menu and be able to create innovative and delicious cocktails while maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Responsibilities:
o Mixing and Serving Drinks: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine. Create new and exciting drink recipes, and adapt to customer preferences.
o Upselling and Increasing Revenue: Suggestive selling to increase sales, such as recommending premium liquors or special cocktails.
o Customer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. o Take and process drink orders from customers. Engage with patrons, providing recommendations
and answering questions about the drink menu. o Multi-Tasking: Bartending often involves multi-tasking. Be able to handle multiple drink orders and
customer requests simultaneously. o Maintaining a Clean Bar: Keep the bar area clean and well-organized at all times. o Regularly clean and sanitize glassware, utensils, and bar equipment. o Cash Handling: Process payments and provide accurate change. Handle customer tabs and
payments responsibly. o Monitoring Alcohol Consumption: Ensure responsible alcohol service by identifying and addressing
overconsumption. o Stocking and Inventory: Monitor and restock the bar with supplies, including liquor, mixers,
garnishes, and glassware. Keep track of inventory levels and report shortages. o Compliance with Regulations: Follow all local and state alcohol regulations, including checking IDs
and not serving underage or intoxicated customers.
Requirements: (including but not limited to)
o Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role. o Extensive knowledge of food menu, drink recipes and mixology techniques. o Excellent customer service and communication skills. o Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately. o Basic math skills for measuring and mixing ingredients. o Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items, such as kegs or cases of alcohol.
o A positive, outgoing, friendly attitude. o Professional and neat personal appearance. o This position requires evening and weekend availability. o Bartenders should be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
