We're hiring a full-time
Quality Control / Weld Inspector
to join our team, reporting to the Plant Manager. This salaried position is ideal for an
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
seeking a structured, quality-focused environment supporting high-end structural and proprietary fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities: Perform material audits, fit-up verification, and visual weld inspections per detailed drawings.
Qualify welders in-house and maintain all QC records.
Ensure compliance with AWS codes and collaborate with customer/third-party inspectors. Requirements:
Current AWS CWI certification (required)
5-10 years' experience in structural steel or metal fabrication
Proficient with AWS D1.1/D1.2/D1.3, fabrication drawings, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
AutoCAD and knowledge of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems a plus
Valid driver's license (minimal travel) Schedule & Environment:
4-day workweek (Mon-Thurs, 10 hrs) + occasional Fridays/overtime
Work in a well-equipped facility with MIG (Carbon/Alum) and TIG welds
