Salt Lake Behavioral Health is currently seeking a compassionate and talented House Supervisor for our Day Shift (7am-7pm). Salt Lake Behavioral Health is a private 118 bed freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and substance abuse treatment for adolescents and adults. We serve the Salt Lake City and surrounding area using evidence-based treatments in a comfortable, confidential atmosphere. The Staff Nurse House Supervisor is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performances Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit. Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory role. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification is required. You will need to successfully complete our current training for restraints and seclusions. This training will need to be done prior to assisting in any patient restraints or seclusions and within 90 days of employment.
