Description

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

This position is responsible for the set up, maintenance and operation of the bar.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive drink orders from patrons. Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes. Serve wine and bottled beer or draw draft beer from kegs. Ring drink orders into register, collect money from patrons for drinks served and make change. Requisition liquors, other beverages and supplies as needed. Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display and merchandise drinks. May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. Conform to the regulations of the alcohol beverage authority. Implements and enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of bar areas. Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time. Responsible for inventory counts and balancing of the stand sheets at the end of the night. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Required:

High school graduate or equivalent. Age 21 or older. Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and familiarity with standard drink recipes. Basic math skills and the ability to handle money.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have ability to remain stationary for long periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
