Job Description:
The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching a team about agile scrum to deliver successful deliverables. This key resource will be leading a new team in supporting modernization of existing business and technical systems through the development life cycle. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Seasoned technology contributor with strong working knowledge of various industry technologies. Successful Scrum Master must be able to meet all deadlines and move the team along. Understands concepts of software application solutions approaches. Requires software application development work setting and has led teams like this before. Previous experience as a team lead. Familiar with Agile Scrum based Software development, Hybrid Agile based module development along with cross-functional communication, software technical project management, requirements traceability, source code control, test case management, and defect tracking. Doing everything possible to ensure delighting customers. Guiding the team and supporting the organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Assessing the Scrum maturity of the team and coaching them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Experience in Agile Kanban approaches. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving. Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Providing all support to the team and leading by example. Responsible for facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings. Possesses conflict resolution skills and the ability to forecast numbers of deliverables possible in iteration, based on evidence and reliable sources. Expert in estimation and planning; knows how to create useful, reliable, and practical plans for software development projects. Good coach in agile practices, able to coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools. Helps team or individual clarify goals and actions to achieve them. Ability to shield the team from outside distractions and interferences. Ability to ensure the correct use of the scrum process. Ability to track and remove impediments. Servant leader who serves team members before considering their own needs.
