The Systems Administrator position is included in a workplace model that allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.
As a Systems Administrator, Essential Responsibilities Include
Provide daily monitoring, maintenance and administration of assigned IT systems, applications, Servers, Workstations, appliances and network devices. Resolve support incidents escalated by lower support tiers and provide technical guidance to lower support tiers. Communicate problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders. Serve as a consultant to line of business managers and other stakeholders on the most efficient use of current applications. Maintain inventory of existing applications, servers, and network devices. Basic networking skills including IP Configuration and basic troubleshooting skills. Maintain System/Software Documentation (narratives, procedures, diagrams). Process Service Requests for changes to managed systems including user permissions, user provisioning or deprovisioning, configuration changes, or any other requests escalated by lower tiers. Assist in design and implementation of new systems, or any project-based changes to IT systems or infrastructure. Assist business unit administrators with administration of their systems. Evaluate new client system software, updates to client software, and deploy client software. Maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing systems, databases, and applications across the organization. Automate management processes using workflow engines, custom written scripts, or other processes to increase efficiency. Participate in Problem Management process. Provide guidance to Endpoint Admins and Service Desk Teams. Perform preventative maintenance including installation of service packs, patches, and hot fixes on applications, operating systems, and systems. Participates in after-hours on-call rotation.
Skills Needed
Proficient in Microsoft Server technologies Ability to provide outstanding customer service. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed. Team player and capable of working alone. Strong attention to detail and well organized. Proven analytical and problem solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline driven environment. Networking skills for troubleshooting connectivity issues.
