DevOps Automation Engineer
Own the full lifecycle including internal release and documentation of at least one DevOps automation tool for Oracle Analytics Cloud services. Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks in Python and Java to manage deployment, monitoring, scaling, and recovery of OAC services. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions. Collaborate with cloud architects, software engineers, and SREs to streamline service integration, observability, and delivery. Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Define and enforce DevOps best practices, coding standards, and operational procedures. Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, deployment performance, and system health. Contribute to compliance and security automation, including vulnerability scanning and patch management. Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, proposing solutions, and implementing automated fixes. Help in performing DevOps activities to learn and then drive development features, services to support customers, engineers, and processes through our release cycles as well as production. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues and drive to completion, driving and participate in root cause analysis to adhere to our OKR and metrics goals. Perform change management activities ensuring environment operates on latest versions and configurations. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles. Strong proficiency in Python and Java for automation and system development. Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), preferably with Oracle Analytics Cloud or similar Oracle PaaS services. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm). Experience with Git-based workflows, artifact repositories, and CI/CD tooling. Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OCI Monitoring). Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive mindset. Preferred Qualifications: Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Professional). Experience with secure DevOps (DevSecOps) practices. Background in analytics platforms or data engineering is a plus. Experience contributing to open-source or internal developer platforms.
