Senior IT Business Analyst (SQL)

Responsibilities Mission The primary role of the Agile Business Analyst is to support the Product Owner in the day-to-day management of the product backlog. This includes drafting and validating User Stories, organizing backlog items, and assisting in their prioritization. However, the Agile Business Analyst does not replace the Product Owner, who remains solely responsible for the backlog and the final decision-maker. Activities & Tasks Provide expertise in digital technologies and trends Offer insights to enhance solutions envisioned by the Product Owner Recommend improvements to the product backlog Assist the Product Owner in prioritizing backlog items Suggest prioritization adjustments based on perceived value Contribute throughout the lifecycle of the product backlog Ensure the backlog remains visible, transparent, and well understood by all stakeholders Break down features into manageable User Stories for delivery within a sprint, including clear acceptance criteria Understand and prioritize technical and defect-related stories proposed by the development team Clarify User Stories during sprints as requested by the development team Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and events with the team Support the testing of User Stories developed by the Agile team Accept or reject completed User Stories (when delegated by the Product Owner) Evaluate the quality of past and current releases in production Conduct regression testing on new releases Qualifications Advanced proficiency in SQL is mandatory Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills Comfortable with knowledge sharing within the Agile team and with stakeholders Solid understanding of digital trends, best practices, and challenges Practical experience with Agile methodologies, especially backlog management techniques (e.g., INVEST, DEEP, Value Stream Mapping) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficient in Excel, data visualization tools, and statistics Strong planning and organizational abilities Critical thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset Familiarity with data collection methods and techniques Profile Excellent command of English (written and spoken) Proficiency in French is a strong asset Minimum of 5 years of relevant, similar experience, especially in Agile projects Experience in the finance sector is a plus We offer Competitive salary and the opportunity to have a meaningful job where you can make a difference The chance to continuously evolve as a professional Medical insurance & Meal tickets.
