Senior Systems Analyst
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Computer Science (work experience in related fields may be considered for substitution of education)
Five-years experience in Information Services, three of which should be as systems analyst
Three-years experience in a programming language and a database structure is required
Experience in application development and implementation is required
Good oral and written communication skills are required
Experience in governmental accounting preferred
Experience in the following programming areas is preferred: ACCESS, Visual Basic, C++, COBOL, CICS, DL1
Experience in Payroll, Human Resource, and Financial Systems (Cyborg) is preferred
Experience with client-server computing and Microsoft Back Office products is preferred
Internet and/or Intranet experience is preferred

Essential Functions Performs project management for the development and/or application integration of systems Analyzes applications for appropriate platforms, computer languages, databases, and software Analyzes application development versus the use of application software packages Performs systems analysis and programming functions Implements application systems based on requirements analysis using latest technologies Analyzes current systems; initiates and implements enhancements using the latest technologies Stays abreast of new technologies and improves technical skills by attending classes, researching manuals, and reading related technical publications Performs other related duties as requested or assigned Evaluation
