Licensed Practical Nurse Opportunity
Wekiva Springs Center in Jacksonville, Florida has immediate openings for Licensed Practical Nurses. We offer: Tuition reimbursement after 1 year 3 day work week Every other weekend off 401K with up to a 4% match Licensed Practical Nurses deliver nursing care to adults under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for utilizing technical nursing skills in providing care to designated patients and incorporates a basic understanding of psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Serves as a vital member of the treatment team; a medication nurse, and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients. Experience/Education

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing School Maintains current Florida license One year nursing experience, psychiatric and/or addictions nursing preferred Skills
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Nursing Skills: Ability to pass oral medications, administration of IM, SQ, Z-track, TB-testing, obtain Vital signs, Oxygen administration, utilization of Accu-Check Glucometer, Breathalyzer, UDS testing, UCG testing, ECG machine, assist with all patients Activities of Daily Living.
