Senior Engineer Position
TEKsystems is seeking a Senior Engineer for a role in a DevOps/agile environment to support a large government program in Bellevue NE. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team to provide hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise systems. Candidates will also support the shift to cloud frameworks for some enterprise functionality. Clearance Required: Secret at a minimum. Requirements: DevOps engineer with cloud focus. Python exp Containers and orchestration dockers or Kubernetes Cloud technologies- AWS is the primary environment but open to other experience Storage management S3 or MiniO Logging and monitoring - exp with Splunk Authentication approaches Config management tools GitHub/GitLab Looking for candidates with cross functional team mentality and team collaboration: Bachelors degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience 5 years experience working in a system administration or similar role Advanced knowledge of one or more operating systems such as Linux Red Hat Windows, or AIX, Networking, Security Experience with infrastructure automation approaches and tools such as Ansible and Terraform Experience working with container-based approaches Familiarity with cloud computing such as AWS Experience with monitoring tools Familiarity with virtual desktop infrastructure Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Lean, Theory of Constraints) Must have a collaborative mentality with an ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to advise technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed and recommended enterprise level system changes Evaluate factors such as reporting formats, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine appropriate hardware and/or software configuration Experience ensuring DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) are understood and solutions are automated Troubleshoot outages or other system errors and implement/recommended fix actions, as necessary Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
