Senior Interior Designer
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work independently with minimal supervision. Sketch and model your designs primarily using Alias software. Understand and respond to engineering requirements. Create compelling design proposals for various concept and production car programs, including sketches, renderings, and 3D digital models. Develop digital line plans (3D tape drawings) of selected themes. Research and analyze trends in packaging, dimensions, materials, and products through online resources, print media, auto shows, and events; report findings to management using PowerPoint. Collaborate with management, engineering, marketing, and design teams to incorporate design criteria. Develop designs alongside engineering using Alias and/or Maya software. Oversee model development by clay and CAS sculptors and fabricators. Consult with engineering and manufacturing to meet styling and manufacturing requirements. Create high-quality publication images for press releases and brochures using Photoshop, Alias, Maya, VRed, and photography. Support vendors producing concept vehicles for auto shows worldwide. Travel to Korea to collaborate with Namyang Design and Engineering teams and vendors for model development. Benchmark competitive vehicles to guide design direction. Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Alias, Sub-D, VRed, PowerPoint, and clay modeling. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Automotive, or Transportation Design. Expertise in your field. 5-7 years of relevant automotive design experience or a portfolio of concept and/or production cars. Ability to create digital models suitable for milling. Capability to take over and complete designs from other designers objectively.
