OverviewWe are working with a freight forwarding/logistics company who is seeking Warehouse Operations Associates on a temp to hire basis. The ideal candidates should have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and an eagerness to learn along with the ability to follow direction.ResponsibilitiesCargo receiving (piece counts, weights/dimensions, shipper information)Moving freight to TSA screening areasResponsible for receiving and send email correspondences to clients and supplier networkBuilding ULDs (Unit Load Devices)Labeling freightUsing spreadsheets to prioritize daily workflowExperience in operating a Forklift a plus, but not required. Must be open to training.Utilize warehouse management systems and scanners to track cargoCollaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.SkillsWarehouse experience is a plus but not required; company open to trainable candidates from non-related prior roles as long as they are willing to learn warehouse operationsFamiliarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.Excellent communication skills including reading and writingAbility to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).Excellent attention to detailStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Previous experience in a freight forwarding/logistics company a plusExperience using Excel and Microsoft TeamsCertifications & Security: All roles require willingness to obtain forklift certification; client can assist with certification via internal safety programWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
