Network Security Engineer

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Security Engineer with an active Secret clearance to lead the architecture, engineering, integration, development, and/or deployment of network and security devices, applications, and tools in an enterprise environment. This position will be located in Arlington, VA and will be a fully remote within the United States position. Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, engineering, integration, development, and/or deployment of network and security devices, applications, and tools in an enterprise environment. Work with network monitoring and intrusion detection, host-based and network-based IDS, and log management applications. Recommend upgrades and new components for DEA approval. Install, test, patch, and upgrade computer hardware and operating systems (Windows and Unix) in an enterprise environment. Leverage tools such as SourceFire, ArcSight, Splunk, Net Witness, Guidance Software, Digital Guardian, Raytheon (SureView), NMAP, Request Tracker, Nagios, Intelliview, Nessus, and Foundstone to provide direct support for WAN, LAN, Wireless, Mobile, and VPN networks. Qualifications: Bachelor's with 15+ years network security (or commensurate experience) Active Secret Clearance Required, plus the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability Company Overview: GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
