Stock Clerk - Fort Hood, TX

Responsibilities Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools Compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard Sorts, or weights incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information Fills orders or issues supplies from stock Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock May cut stock to site to fill order Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Minimum Education Required: High School/GED Job Category: Logistics Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Must have experience in logistics procedures Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite skills Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Must be able to receive a favorable TIER 1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC Desired Qualification: 2+ years' experience in military supply procedures U.S. Army 92-series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent Experience with powered industrial trucks / material handling equipment Valid Driver's License Pay and Benefits: Hourly Compensation: $17.75 Location: Fort Hood, Texas Job Code: Operations Specialist Company: Akima
