GovCIO is currently seeking a Scrum Master to become a subject matter expert on our team. This position is fully remote, full time and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS). The contract has not been awarded; this position remains unfunded and is contingent upon the award of the contract. Responsibilities

GovCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Scrum Master to support the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio. Executes and manages the implementation and deployment of Agile solutions within a technical team. Facilitates agile ceremonies including daily stand-up, sprint retrospective, backlog refinement etc. Works alongside Sr. Project Manager to facilitate and prepare for Sprint Review. Mentors and coaches the team in agile techniques and processes. Coaches team in usage of Agile techniques, such as Scrum and Kanban. Works directly with development teams up to and including large enterprise transformation efforts. Prepares coaching materials, offers shared knowledge sessions, and leads retrospectives to promote continuous learning and continuous improvement. Coaches team on Agile and DevOps practices that would most benefit project objectives. Facilitates all agile ceremonies, in coordination with the Sr. Project Manager. Stays current on industry standard Agile and DevOps techniques. Works across team to ensure practices are coordinated. Tracks progress and improvement of teams utilizing new skills. Ensures Jira is up to date and the team is self-organized in its usage. Evaluates activities for continuous improvement of teams. Maintains section specific portions of the Program Scrum Guide. Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience) Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, CAPM etc. Experience leading 1+ Scrum Teams and facilitating scrum ceremonies. Experienced in Jira management and confluence use. Experience working on a team towards a common goal. Strong problem-solving skills. Competence in Microsoft Suite. Strong verbal and written skills. Positive attitude and willingness to step in, where needed. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience working in an IT environment. Experience in managing PI Planning. Experience managing employees and guiding towards success. Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance. Company Overview
