Position Summary

Under the direction of the Service Manager, a Mechanic will perform service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment both in the shop and in the field. This position requires travel to make field service and repair calls occasionally and attend any required training. The position's primary focus is to diagnose and repair the work equipment, which requires electrical and hydraulic diagnosis experience. The work related to the chassis is limited to performing routine PM inspections and requirements for fuels, fluids, and lubrication.

Essential Functions of the Job

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment "Ready to Rent" status Performs and document "check in" and "check out" inspections of fleet equipment Maintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring Super Products standard of excellence is met. Effectively complete all documentation of work performed Knowledge, Skills, and, Abilities (KSA's)

Possess a solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred Must demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshooting Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematics Ability to administer DOT inspections Possess basic / position-related computer skills Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as work alone effectively Be self-motivated, shows complete accountability, is timely in all assignments Must own and supply a basic set of hand tools and storage box. The company will provide all large and specialized tools Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED Minimum three (3) years, verifiable experience as a mechanic Experience with electrical and hydraulic diagnosis or truck mounted vacuum equipment -- required

The pay range for this position in California is $28-$34/hour; however base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
