Pennington Biomedical Research Center, a world-renowned academic research institute of Louisiana State University, is seeking an LPN in the Clinical Trials Unit to work rotating nights and weekends. This position may be filled as an LPN 1, 2, or 3. The LPN will provide direct patient care for volunteers in various clinical trials that require ambulatory and/or total bed rest in the inpatient unit. Additional responsibilities may include screenings, consenting, and study visits for specified clinical trials. This position will be assigned days, and rotating nights, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential for nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum Qualifications: LPN 1: Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state. LPN 2: Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus one year of practical nursing experience. LPN 3: Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of practical nursing experience. Job Duties: Provide direct patient care for volunteers in various clinical trials that require ambulatory and/or total bed rest in the inpatient unit.
