Description Summary Assumes responsibility for all types of product identification including laser, chemical etching, ink stamping, vibro-etch, and metal stamp impressions. Responsible for creating and maintaining computer graphics within the laser part marking software systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.

Researches customer marking specifications as required. Applies sequential serial numbers and bar codes as required. Creates and maintains excel files to track serial numbers. Backs up computer files as necessary. Recognizes and implements special type fonts and sizes as required. Loads fonts into operating system. Enters labor data in the ERP system. Maintains a clean, organized work area. Identifies and requests required fixtures. Makes sketches and suggestions for new fixtures, and coordinates with Manufacturing Engineering to request them. Reviews blueprint files. Inventories and requests department supplies. Seeks and documents lean opportunities in the department. Keeps up-to-date on newest laser marking technology. Qualification Requirements

Education/Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Three to six months related experience or training.

Language Skills

Good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Ability to write in simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read blueprints.

Math Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer/ Office Skills

Laser and Graphics software Basic windows/internet browser ERP/Inventory Microsoft Office - Excel, Word Typing Blueprint Reading

Physical Demands

Frequent Activities: Standing, sitting, typing, handling objects, reaching, talking/hearing, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs. Occasional activities: Walking, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs Rare activities: Climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights (50-100+ lbs)

Vision Requirements

Frequent: Close vision, ability to adjust focus, computer work Occasional: Color vision and peripheral vision Rare: Distance vision and depth perception

Work Environment

Frequent exposure: Mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and moderate noise. Occasional exposure: Electrical shock, vibration, and loud-to- very loud noise. Rare exposure: High places, outdoor weather, very quiet noise levels.

Compensation and Benefits Offered Actual base salary offered to the selected applicant will be based on their work location, qualifications, job related skills, relevant education, and training experience.

Base hourly rate range Minimum $17.81 - Maximum $20.18 Depending on experience
