Job Title: Warehouse Worker/General Laborer
Location: Warren, OH area
Rate: $18-23/hr
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Worker/General Laborer to join our team in Warren, OH. The ideal candidate will operate distribution center and warehouse tools and equipment to process materials to precise dimensions. This role involves receiving instructions, exercising basic operational skills, checking material dimensions, handling materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction Compliance:
Receive and follow verbal or written instructions from supervisors or designated personnel. Operational Skills:
Operate distribution center and warehouse tools and equipment to perform a variety of basic related tasks, both within a department and across multiple departments. Material Processing:
Measure material dimensions before, during, and after processing to maintain specified tolerances. Inventory Management:
Count and weigh pieces, weigh scrap, and keep it segregated by grades. Stencil, stamp, and/or attach ID tags to material and packages, as required. Color code various products as necessary. Order Verification and Packaging:
Verify and package orders according to customer specifications. Transport material between workstations using side loaders, lift trucks, and floor-operated overhead cranes. Record Keeping:
Maintain production records and use transmission equipment to enter, receive, and send data. Equipment Maintenance:
Lubricate, clean, adjust, and perform minor repairs on production equipment and related tools. Keep hand tools clean and orderly. Work Area Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and notify the supervisor of any unsafe conditions or required maintenance repairs. Assist with equipment and facility maintenance. General Duties:
Perform other duties as directed, including general labor tasks. Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience:
1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience (preferred). Previous experience with circular saws, grinders, milling machines, lathes, cut-off saws, side loaders, plate flippers, gas-powered lift trucks, forklifts, carts, floor-operated overhead cranes, skids, scales, tape measures, micrometers, various hand tools, chains, hooks, slings, wood and other packaging materials, stencils, bar press, power nailer, power stapler, power bander, manual bander, plate and bar magnets, calipers, etc. (preferred). Knowledge:
Understanding of computer systems. Familiarity with written rules and procedures. Basic knowledge of lean principles.
