Autonomy Data Analyst

As an Autonomy Data Analyst on the Network Collaborative Autonomy Team, you will be responsible for curating, analyzing, and reporting on autonomy data collected during test events on Group 1-5 aircraft. Your role will play a critical part in the development and optimization of autonomous systems for aircraft, ensuring that data-driven insights lead to continuous improvements in autonomy algorithms and performance. At EpiSci, you will: Organize and manage autonomy data from test events involving Group 1-5 aircraft, ensuring data integrity and accessibility Implement data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to ensure data quality prior to analysis Analyze large sets of flight data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance metrics related to autonomous systems Apply statistical and machine learning methods to extract meaningful insights from raw data Work closely with test engineers, pilots, and software developers to ensure accurate data captured during test events is compliant with cybersecurity and data privacy policies We're looking for someone who has: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related engineering field 4+ years of hands-on experience developing Python, C++, and R software for autonomous robotic systems Experience in performing data analysis for aviation or maritime applications Experience working with visualization in numpy or pandas (matplotlib, bokeh, holoviews, etc) Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments, using Linux-based operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu), source control systems, and artifact registries Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel as projects require; estimated average travel is once every other month for between 2 days up to 1 week (~20%) Security Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance Nice to have: Master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field 7+ years of experience developing software for autonomous robotic systems in multiple programming languages Experience with cross-language schema development and data encapsulation tools such as Protocol Buffers Familiarity with software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) development and testing High proficiency in modern C++ (2011, 2017, 2020, smart pointers, etc.) w/CMAKE in Docker-based Linux environments Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $140,000 to $180,000 USD annually.
