IT Systems Administrator

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. System administrator will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users. The systems administrator could be focused in one or more of the following areas: A network administrator maintains network infrastructure such as switches and routers, and diagnoses problems with these or with the behavior of network-attached computers. A security administrator is a specialist in computer and network security, including the administration of security devices such as firewalls, as well as consulting on general security measures. A web administrator maintains web server services that allow for internal or external access to web sites. Tasks include managing multiple sites, administering security, and configuring necessary components and software. Responsibilities may also include software change management. They may also develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information. A computer operator performs routine maintenance and upkeep, such as changing backup tapes or replacing failed drives. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision. Preferred Experience: Infrastructure management: Set up and maintain infrastructure, including servers and cloud systems Process automation: Create and maintain automated processes for testing, deployment, and security Communication: Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to ensure effective communication Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues in production, and monitor system performance Product updates: Launch product updates, and create integrations to improve the user experience Cybersecurity: Incorporate cybersecurity best practices into processes Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Typically requires 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions Ability to work well within a small team environment Strong communication skills US Citizenship DOD Secret Clearance is required.
