Data Programmer And Analyst (9702BI It Pro 2-Bi & Data Analysis)
The School of Public Health division of Health Policy and Management is seeking applications for a full-time Data Programmer and Analyst (9702BI IT Pro 2-BI & Data Analysis). The starting pay is dependent on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity: $66,000 to $94,500. This position has the option to work hybrid. Responsibilities: Data Management and Construction (50%): Build and manage analytic databases by integrating data from diverse sources. Statistical Analysis (40%): Perform statistical analyses and interpret and communicate results in collaboration with research teams. Data Infrastructure Development (10%): Design, implement, and maintain data infrastructure to support ongoing and future research projects. Qualifications Required: BA/BS degree with coursework in statistics, econometrics, or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience; Or a Master's degree in health services research, public health, statistics, economics or a related field. Proficiency with at least one statistical programming language (e.g. SAS, Stata, or R). Experience working with healthcare claims data. Demonstrated attention to detail and consistent documentation practices when writing statistical code. Willingness to learn and develop new programming and analytical skills. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrate effective communication with written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Ability to convey complex statistical information into concepts and terms for the general public. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities across concurrent projects.
