Human Resources Business Partner

Turion Space is building spacecraft for national security and in-space operations. From debris removal to space domain awareness to building a more secure space economy, we are a team focused on getting real hardware to orbit fast and scaling capability. We're looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to help drive people strategy as we scale. This is a hands-on role supporting leaders and employees across multiple functions, blending strategic thinking with execution to support performance, development, and a strong employee experience. Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across technical and business teams Align HR strategy with company goals and help drive key initiatives forward Foster collaboration, communication, and organizational alignment Talent Management & Development Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning and hiring strategy Support performance management, career development, and training efforts Help develop scalable tools and frameworks for team growth and development Employee Experience & Culture Lead efforts to build a strong, inclusive, and engaging company culture Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and investigations Act as an advocate for both the company and our people HR Operations & Compliance Maintain and improve HR policies, documentation, and compliance systems Partner on delivering compliance and workplace training (e.g., harassment prevention, ethics) Stay informed on federal and California employment laws and apply best practices Data & Insights Use HR data to assess team health and surface actionable insights Help build reporting tools and dashboards to increase visibility for leaders Support data-driven decision-making on people initiatives Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3+ years of HR experience, with direct experience in business partnering roles Knowledge of California labor law and employment regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels Analytical thinking with solid problem-solving and decision-making skills Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office The ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or high-growth engineering organizations Prior HR experience in a startup or dynamic growth environment PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP certification or equivalent experience Master's degree in a relevant field Strong experience with HR analytics, dashboards, and data tools Comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution ITAR Requirements: This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
