We are looking for a Support Analyst position based in Jamestown, NC for a 12-month contract.
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting GTCC staff by supporting hardware and software installation and troubleshooting services associated with the PC refresh project. Candidate must possess the ability to install and configure PC hardware, peripherals, and software in a network environment. The resource may also be required to document technical processes. Candidates are required to work onsite at 601 East Main Street, Jamestown, NC 27282.
Specific duties for the position include: 1. Install computer system hardware, software, and related peripherals following departmental procedures and manuals. A. Install and configure PC hardware and peripherals (printers, mice, keyboards) to meet user requirements. B. Connect/disconnect PCs and printers to the network. C. Assign workstation and host names for PCs added to Active Directory. D. Install related software (Windows, applications, printer drivers) needed for proper system functioning. E. Upgrade or repair existing PC equipment by replacing or adding memory or hard drives as required. F. Develop and test images for PCs.
2. Maintain accurate equipment inventory. A. Unpack and pack computer equipment. B. Receive, check in, and inventory equipment; report transfers. C. Record inventory information. D. Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups with GTCC staff.
3. Support workstation requests and troubleshoot issues. A. Respond to trouble calls related to workstations. B. Provide PC support to end users via phone and email. C. Troubleshoot PC problems resulting from SCCM pushes. D. Update Manage Engine tickets.
4. Document technical processes and update documentation as needed. Additional Information
