JOB TITLE: Tool Crib Attendant
STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Operations Manager
REVISION DATE: August 1, 2024
DESCRIPTION:
The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for utilizing the shop paper procedure, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformances related activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Issue the tools and equipment to workers as needed. • Maintain current and accurate records. • Pull and store for upcoming scheduled jobs from the setup sheets issued by Manufacturing. • Notify the Tool Crib Lead of any tools that need to be ordered. • Set up jobs and provide "offset" as needed. • Check stock for programmers and others as needed. • Breakdown and store tools daily • General housekeeping of the Tool Crib area • Comply with applicable environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations, Company policy, and accepted safe work practices. • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: • N/A
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: •High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School. •Must be reliable and have excellent attendance. •1-3 years of related work experience •Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. •Ability to read and comprehend blueprints in order to properly distribute the correct tooling. •Ability to read and follow basic instructions. •Ability to write legibly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB: •Frequently required to walk, push, pull, stoop, kneel, or bend to the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts and materials; reach with hands, arms, and overhead; and talk and/or hear instructions and equipment sounds. •Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. •Lifting and/or moving items up to 40 pounds. •Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. •Visual acuity: Near acuity or accommodation required for reading written instructions, blueprints, and computer screens.
