This dynamic leader will oversee all facets of event scheduling, team travel, recruiting operations, compliance, and administrative initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of strategic objectives set forth by the Athletics Director. Knowledge & ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.Operational Leadership:•?Event & Practice Management:?Strategically collaborate with coaching staff to develop and maintain the athletics calendar, optimizing scheduling for games, practices, and special events.•?Team Travel Coordination:?Oversee all logistics of team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meal planning, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for athletes and staff.•?Budget Administration:?Assist in the management of operational and scholarship budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with program goals.•?Facility Coordination:?Lead the scheduling and coordination of athletic facilities to support practice and competition needs.Game Day & Event Operations:•?Game Day Operations Coordinator:?Serve as the primary point of contact for all game day logistics, delivering a world-class experience for athletes, staff, and spectators.•?Staff Management:?Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise part-time game management personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.•?Event Execution:?Plan and execute a variety of athletic events, driving engagement and enhancing the program's visibility.Recruiting & Compliance:•?Recruiting Initiatives:?Coordinate recruiting visits, ensuring adherence to NCAA (or NJCAA) compliance standards and institutional policies.•?Admissions & Enrollment Support:?Guide student-athletes through the admissions and enrollment process, promoting a positive and streamlined experience.Marketing & Community Engagement:•?Social Media Strategy:?Manage and elevate the program's social media presence, delivering impactful marketing and consistent brand engagement.•?Stakeholder Collaboration:?Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including academic services, community organizations, and public agencies.Administrative Excellence:•?Financial Management:?Oversee accurate collection, documentation, and reporting of finances and receipts.•?Policy & Compliance:?Maintain a deep understanding of NCAA/NJCAA, institutional, and department policies, ensuring full compliance across all activities.•?Program Development:?Conduct research and present strategic insights on program initiatives, driving innovation and continuous improvement. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly manage part-time game management personnel, setting performance standards and ensuring efficient operations on game days and during special events. Minimum & Preferred QualificationsQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Proven track record in athletics administration, preferably within a NJCAA member school or NCAA/NAIA level program.•Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.•Strong understanding of NCAA compliance, athletic program operations, and event management.Education Minimum: Associate degree Education Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience Minimum: One (1) to two (2) years of experience in basketball coaching, recruiting, or athletic program involvement.Experience Preferred: Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in basketball recruiting or coaching; familiarity with NJCAA rules and recruiting processes. Additional Information Language Skills Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences including students, families, coaches, and institutional personnel.Mathematical Skills Basic math proficiency required for record-keeping and academic tracking of recruits.Reasoning Ability Ability to assess talent, manage multiple priorities, and resolve problems efficiently. Must demonstrate discretion, judgment, and professionalism when interacting with prospective student-athletes and their families.Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
