Project Support Specialist I/II
This full-time, onsite Project Support Specialist I/II position will perform a variety of visitor control and physical security functions supporting the civil service and contractor workforce and customers within the Range Operations Division, Test Management Branch at the Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR), at Patuxent River, Maryland. Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements: Control visitors by greeting and checking in all facility visitors and assisting them as necessary Provide access to mission control rooms (MCRs) and secure areas Maintain, verify, and update clearance information for customers Schedule conference rooms Monitor vehicle gate access to ATR's facility Escort building service team members into ATR's secure areas Provide facility-wide page announcements as necessary Provide other administrative support services as necessary Work within ATR's Admin Team under close supervision of senior-level team lead and has work checked for quality and completeness Note: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job. Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent No experience is required to qualify as a Project Support Specialist I To qualify as a Project Support Specialist II, a minimum of 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar function is required Demonstrated proficiency using office automation equipment including personal computers, optical scanners, printers, and software application programs such as MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic mail, and SharePoint applications. Must be able to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed for flight test support Must be a team player, self-starter, and demonstrate initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision Must possess a valid drivers license and will be required to successfully pass drug screening(s) Clearance Requirements: Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase. Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance Work Conditions: Most work performed in enclosed buildings at a desk or in data processing environments. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Some travel and/or overtime may be required.
