If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.What you'll doAs a Production Technician, you will be on the floor of our Long Beach Switchboard facility, playing a hands-on role in the manufacturing, winding, QC and final assembly of our switchboards. You'll be responsible for building, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of Giga's custom-built electrical enclosures. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in precision, and wants to be a key player in building products that power mission-critical infrastructure.Where you'll workThis role will be based in our Long Beach facility. You must be willing to work in the facility full-time.ResponsibilitiesAssemble switchboard enclosures and interiors using various hand and power toolsPerform torque checks on assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standardsInspect incoming components and units for shipping damage and recommend part replacementsConduct final mechanical quality checks before switchboards leave the facilityCollaborate with other technicians and engineers on shop tasks and process improvementsMaintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to shop safety standardsRequirements1+ years of experience in a hands-on assembly, mechanical, or electrical technician role in a manufacturing environmentComfortable using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, torque wrenches, impact drivers)Ability to follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, or assembly drawingsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsEligible to work in the United StatesBonus points Experience with electrical panel or switchboard assemblyFamiliarity with mechanical QC or inspection protocolsPrior work in an industrial, electrical, or switchgear manufacturing environmentOSHA 10 or other safety certificationsBenefitsSubsidized health, dental, and vision insuranceEquity (options) in a rapidly growing startup401(k) with 4% employer matchUnlimited PTOParental leaveHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)Commuter benefitsMonthly team onsites where all offices come in-person to collaborateEqual Opportunity Employer StatementGiga Energy is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
