We are at the forefront of today's construction industry growth and have several exciting job opportunities for talented, energized professionals across the region who want to join our #WeAre1KirbySmith family!Tool Room Attendant Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid time off and vacationShort/Long Term DisabilityGrowth opportunities Paid TrainingFamily owned and operatedHealth and wellness Above average industry payTool Room Attendant Position PurposeResponsible for issuing, receiving, and storing hand tools and other facility equipment while maintaining an inventory of all tools and ordering new equipment when needed.Tool Room Attendant Responsibilities Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal Prepares and maintains periodic inventory of tools and equipment, manually and using computerReceives, unpacks, and stores tools and equipment and requisition stock to replenish inventoryDelivers tools or equipment to workers, manually or using a hand truck occasionallyMarks and identifies tools and equipment using an identification tag, stamp, or electric marking toolEnsures issued tools are in good working condition and that defective tools are surveyed and disposed of in accordance with established proceduresMaintains files and reports of lost, broken, and discarded tools and monitors for accuracy, frequency, and search effortsMaintains and repairs minor deficiencies on shop tools Performs other job-related duties as assignedTool Room Attendant Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentProficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applicationsExperience with hand tools and maintaining an inventoryCustomer Service experience preferredTool Room Attendant Physical RequirementsPushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
