Job Description Position Summary Supports the Strategy & Innovation team at Washington Gas by assisting with the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing business intelligence (BI) metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help drive business results. This individual will prepare analytics that deliver insights to assist leaders and teams in effective decision-making. They will also identify opportunities for business performance improvements and promote data sharing across the organization by providing recommendations for data governance and reporting. Tasks and Responsibilities Create and maintain corporate dashboards using visualization tools such as Power BI, and communicate design and results to internal teams. Work effectively with all areas of the business to identify required dashboard visualizations. Apply data preparation and manipulation using ETL tools such as Power Query and SQL. Collaborate with technical teams to enhance existing data models using DAX and SQL queries. Support the development of data visualization standards. Research new data visualization approaches to modernize the data ecosystem across the organization. Develop familiarity with internal data sources and business processes. Assist with reporting and ad hoc analysis by collecting and validating data. Develop PowerPoint presentation materials for internal and external reporting. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience developing data visualizations and performing quantitative analyses (preferred). Basic understanding of data manipulation languages such as SQL. Strong experience with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to assist users with new technology and explain technical concepts. Good organizational, time, and project management skills with attention to detail. Certification or experience in data modeling tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SAS, etc. Familiarity with Microsofts Power Platform, DAX/Power Query M, Dax Studio/Tabular Editor. Experience with statistical tools such as R or Python for predictive modeling or machine learning. We offer a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $113,250 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
