$55/hr + per diem and 1 trip for a long weekend each month ($1k for the trip) Location: Phoenix, AZ Pay:
$55/hr + per diem and 1 trip for a long weekend each month ($1k for the trip) The purpose of the QA/QC Associate is to coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation, and supervision of the quality control plan. This involves working with employees, outside agencies, and consultants involved in inspections and testing, as well as educating all parties on quality control methods. Responsibilities
Participate in the Planning Phase of the QC program by meeting with the QCS Team, Project Manager, and Superintendent to align project expectations. Develop a list of features of work (FOW) for each project and integrate them into the project schedule. Create site-specific QC Programs for small to mid-level projects and submit for review. Develop meeting and inspection templates for each FOW. Execute the four phases of control (Planning, Preparatory, Initial, and Inspections) with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, including conducting all required meetings. Inspect incoming materials for compliance and proper storage. Oversee Superintendents' inspections and perform inspections as needed. Track deficiencies and rework items, enforcing corrective actions. Document and track all QC documentation, including third-party inspections and test reports. Provide weekly status reports on progress, status, and upcoming activities. Attend progress meetings and report on QC activities. Incorporate safe work practices into the QC program. Develop final punch list and oversee project closeout. Interface with the client regarding QC activities and feedback. Coordinate QC support for startup and commissioning documentation with the MEP team. Qualifications
Active certification with the Army Corps of Engineers - Construction Quality Management for Contractors or an inactive certification needing renewal within 3 months. OSHA-10 certification. 2 years of data center construction experience preferred. Self-motivated with knowledge of the QC process, including developing site-specific programs and managing the four phases of control. Effective communication skills with project teams and clients. Knowledge of CSA and MEP disciplines. Understanding of building codes, NFPA-70E, and NEC. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
