Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Programmer Analyst proactively works with assigned University offices to support the complete life cycle process of one or more major, complex, mission-critical ERP application systems. Under general supervision, proactively identify and address the application system needs of one or more University offices. Take the lead role in analyzing and proposing enhancements to existing application systems. Provide application system development, installation and maintenance services and coordinate these activities with assigned University offices and within Information Systems. Conduct business system and process workflow analysis using proven methodologies. Work with assigned vendors to maintain application system availability and to enhance application system functionality. Ensure proper unit and system testing is successfully completed prior to production turnover. Lead the resolution of production system problems; including providing after-hours support as needed. Maintain appropriate records of time utilization to aid in department project tracking. Coordinate work with and provide direction to assigned programmer/analysts. Prepare work plans and time estimates for projects. Prepare and maintain system and operating documentation. Keep current with tools and utilities provided by the department to enhance proficiency and productivity. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer information science or related field required. Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements: Strong analytical, problem solving, technical, and consulting skills as normally acquired through four plus years of system analysis experience. Demonstrated experience supporting administrative offices and application systems throughout the complete life cycle process. Experience working with vendors to resolve systems problems. Proven knowledge of relational database concepts. Proficient with querying languages such as ANSI-SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
