Job Title: Bookkeeping, Accounting, and Auditing Clerks
Hours/Week: 40
Starting Salary: Competitive based on experience
Job Description: Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for maintaining accounting records. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions.
Tasks:
Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements.
Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding.
Record and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, or computers.
Compile financial reports on cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable/receivable, and profits/losses.
Complete and submit tax forms, workers' compensation, pension, and other government documents.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintain inventory records.
Monitor loans and accounts to ensure payments are current.
Perform financial calculations such as interest, balances, discounts, and equity.
Provide personal bookkeeping services.
Prepare purchase orders and expense reports.
Reconcile bank transactions.
Calculate and prepare utility, tax, and other payments.
Estimate costs of materials and overhead based on quotations and price lists.
Work Context: Requires face-to-face discussions, contact with others, precision, and meeting strict deadlines.
