Lead Business Analyst
CGI Federal is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to help lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Next Generation Desktop platform initiative. The Business Analyst Lead is responsible for gathering, managing, and prioritizing the collection, documentation, analysis, reporting, communication, and strategy of all system requirements, integrations and NGD CRM development work. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) provides healthcare services to approximately 79 million individuals through Medicare and Medicaid. CMS is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare at a reasonable cost and disseminating essential information regarding benefits, health promotion, and choices. The Next Generation Desktop platform (NGD) is a vital system designed to offer a unified interface for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to effectively address the needs of beneficiaries and marketplace consumers. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA or Baltimore, MD office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to go into a CGI Federal office two days a week. Your future duties and responsibilities: Documenting requirements, writing user stories with acceptance criteria to provide clear guidance to development teams. Analyzing gathered requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and aligned with business objectives. Supporting testing activities, reviewing test cases, and verifying that the implemented solution meets the desired outcomes. Facilitating communication and collaboration between different stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of requirements, addressing questions or concerns. Identifying opportunities for system enhancements, analyzing existing processes, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and proposing solutions to streamline workflows and increase productivity. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 8+ years in business analysis, with at least 3 years in Medicare call center environments. Strong understanding of Medicare policies, claims processing, and customer service operations. Proficiency elaborating and writing User Stories. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools. Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, and workflow automation. Familiarity with IVR systems, CRM platforms, and cloud-based contact center solutions. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Experience with Federal Government, Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Healthcare sectors. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $78,400.00 - $154,300.00.
