REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Offer a sincere and genuine welcome to all guests, be proactive and anticipatory with guest requests and needs. Review daily arrival reports and in-house guest reports. Be fully aware of VIP's, arrival times and special requests. Familiarization with daily events and functions, including outlets operating hours, fireworks, characters, etc. Ability to work flexible shifts, including opening of the Club Lounge, mid-shifts and closing of the Club Lounge. Complete detailed check list for each shift. Ensure that all areas of the Club Lounge are always immaculate and in compliance with brand standards. Consistently inspect and monitor the quality and presentation of the food buffets. Replenish buffets and track food consumption for each shift. Inspect linen, silver, china, and other table items for cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for dishwashing all club china, glassware, and silverware. Polish all club china, glassware, and silverware. Clear and re-set all tables in a timely manner, according to Langham and Forbes standards. Cooperate closely with other members of the Club team, including the culinary staff. Clean the Club Lounge area and clear the Club Lounge tables during and after meal periods. Work as part of The Langham Club team and maintain a positive team player attitude. Maintain a clean and organized back of the house area and butler pantry. Follow health and safety procedures. Work well in a team atmosphere and independently. Self-motivated and friendly, able to work with a diverse team of people. Attend and participate in monthly departmental meetings. Must be familiar with the ADA standards and ADA compliant facilities within the Club Lounge and guest rooms. Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested e.g., special guest requests. Report duty as scheduled by direct supervisor according to operating hours. Provide maximum levels of guest service while maintaining Langham Hospitality Group standards. Be fully versed in all Forbes service standards. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor. Always represent the Langham Club Lounge to the highest standards. Requirements: REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Previous Food Runner experience preferred, but not necessary. Knowledge of basic restaurant service and pleasant attitude. Neat, clean person with strong desire to serve people.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have command of the English language, written and verbal. Basic mathematical skills. Must be able to stand for 8 hours. Good hearing and vision with or without corrective lenses. Must be alert to the customers' needs. Must be able to work flexible days and hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Basic computer usage skills

TEAMWORK : Make a point to learn other FOH positions in order to fill in during high-volume times and assist other FOH team members as needed. Ask Guest if there is anything needed after dropping off food. Perform any other tasks assigned by a manager.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.
