DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical support & analysis for educational technology systems. Responsible for integrations of district educational applications used in our schools, classrooms and data driven decision making. This position is often a contributing member of large scale software project rollouts and assists leadership with innovative projects
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Provide expertise with educational technology systems through project teams, technical analysis, and user training. Systems of primary responsibility include: Microsoft, Canvas, ClassLink, Copilot and Lightspeed Classroom. Provide technical expertise with Education Technology initiatives; reports to the Assistant Director of Innovation. Works with Manager of Information Technology Services on system data integrations and district interoperability with curriculum resources. Analyze filtering issues as required, work with district leadership & vendors to assure district compliance with COPA. Create, maintain, and distribute system procedures and documentation to district users. Ability to create & present technical presentations as directed. Manage system security, including user account creation and privileges, for responsible systems. Manage system upgrades and software installation related to teaching and learning projects as assigned. Create, modify, and execute project plans as assigned. This may include roles in CB Cyber, eSports, and CB Realignment. Provide support with Helpdesk tickets on relevant systems Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to the K-12 Technology Committee.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years relevant working experience in technology and/or education. A candidate with classroom experience is preferred. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, organize, and problem-solve. Strong technical background; self-motivated to remain up to date with current technology trends. Ability to work as a member of a team within department & district.
Advanced skills with Microsoft products including Microsoft Office, Office 365, and Microsoft SharePoint. Experience with K-12 instructional technology initiatives in order to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of standard office practices and equipment, MS Office skills and current technology related performance of duties. Ability to work autonomously, be detailed-oriented, with highly developed organizational skills. Must present a professional attitude when dealing with staff and public. Good telephone manner and customer service skills required.
