We are hiring a Java Software Engineer II to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to technologies you are passionate about. In this role, you will use your solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions. Responsibilities

Utilize your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Demonstrate critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas effectively. Obtain and maintain SCI access and complete polygraphs. Clearance Level

This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret. Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required. Qualifications

A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of Software Engineering experience. Experience with Java, Git, and Bash shell scripting. Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes for development and management of containerized applications. Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies. An active and transferable TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred: A degree in Computer Science. Experience with Spring/Spring Boot. Experience with C++. Experience with the Atlassian suite. Experience with JUnit and/or Cucumber testing. Experience with Python for automation and managing scripts that interact with container systems. Experience with writing Bash shell scripts for automating tasks related to containerization. Experience with container technology, including creating, managing, and optimizing Docker containers. Experience with container orchestration, including deploying, scaling, and managing containers in a Kubernetes cluster. Experience with EC2, EKS, S3, and other cloud services to support containerized environments. Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in complex containerized environments. Ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborate with DevOps engineers, and communicate technical details clearly. Benefits
