Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift
Job Category: Maintenance/Facilities Requisition Number: MAINT003389 Full-Time Location: Fremont IG, Fremont, IN 46737, USA Pay or shift range: $22 to $25 USD. The salary range is applicable across the U.S. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, skill set, education, location and other job-related qualifications. Job Description: Weekend Shift works Saturday, Sunday and Monday on a 12-hour shift. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and performing maintenance on all equipment to keep the facility in good operating condition. The primary responsibility is to perform PMs on the equipment. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machinery, facility, production and ancillary equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions in a timely manner. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using fork trucks, scissor and boom lifts, hoist, hand and power tools examining form and texture of parts Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Provide maintenance information by answering questions and requests Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Compensation is based on experience. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Good computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard acceptable practices Ability to work in a team environment. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel or stand for long periods of time.
