The Associate Director, Medical Content Excellence Solutions is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive content management strategy aimed at achieving our vision of Medical Content Excellence within the Scientific and Medical Affairs organizations. This person will ensure that the most effective and tailored content strategies and technologies are incorporated into our solutions. This role requires close collaboration with Scientific and Medical Affairs leaders, global stakeholders, and IT partners, to maximize the value of our global content management platform and its associated content. The incumbent will identify unmet needs, enhance existing content authoring and management processes, conduct assessments of the technology landscape, and integrate innovative capabilities into our organization. The Associate Director will continuously evaluate existing content and security models to maintain the integrity of our content, ensuring reliable and accurate publishing across multiple channels. This role will serve as the global business owner for iMedical Knowledge. In this capacity, they will work closely with iMedical Knowledge's regional representatives to coordinate and manage demand while setting priorities for platform enhancements. Major Duties & Responsibilities
Create and implement a holistic and consistent content management strategy for Scientific and Medical Affairs organizations (50%) Develop and maintain the content management roadmap and key performance indicators to maximize the value of our content Promote a unified content management approach that aligns with the strategic goals of the medical content excellence strategy Actively monitor external innovations and technological advancements, especially in GenAI and digital content, to integrate new technologies that address our business challenges Collaborate with the functional areas to analyze and incorporate insights from content usage metrics into their strategy Cultivate external relationships especially with key vendors to shape their roadmaps and bring new capabilities into the organization Provide relevant analysis and updates to key stakeholders and management Lead innovative content management projects for Scientific and Medical Affairs (40%) Develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges within each functional area and lead projects to enhance efficiencies across all aspects of content management Shape project objectives ensuring that they align with the overall content excellence strategy Oversee development and remove obstacles to achieving project objectives Identify and prioritize opportunities for innovation and manage resources to achieve these goals Negotiate costs with vendors and recommend strategies to maximize our investment Serve as the global business owner for iMedical Knowledge platform (10%) Collaborate with regional representatives of iMedical Knowledge to manage demand and prioritize enhancements for the platform Shape IT compliance policies and SOPs to minimize compliance burden while maintaining rigorous standards of compliance Evaluate and approve changes proposed from all regions to ensure the integrity of the platform Qualifications
Required Years of Related Experience: A minimum of a bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration A minimum of 7 years experience in content management A minimum of 7 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry Experience in program/project management and digital content Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: MA/MS/MBA in relevant field such as Library Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration Industry experience in IT, Pharmaceutical, Veeva and/or Adobe systems Strong track record developing and maintaining computer systems Experience in content transformation projects Experience leveraging GenAI capabilities in the content lifecycle Change management skills/training Other: Approximately 5% travel for business Reports to Director, Medical Content Excellence Solutions Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. $137,000-$235,750 The expected base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company-sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
