FILLED Director of Pediatric Critical CareOverviewExecutive Search Associates is seeking a Director of Pediatric Critical Care for Wolfson Children's Hospital, a nationally recognized leader in pediatric healthcare located in Jacksonville, FL. Wolfson Children's Hospital is part of the Baptist Health system and is renowned for providing specialized care for children with a wide range of medical needs, from routine to complex conditions. The hospital is dedicated to delivering accessible, quality healthcare services in an atmosphere that fosters respect and compassion. The Director of Pediatric Critical Care will oversee the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), ECMO, and transport. This pivotal role is pivotal in providing specialized leadership in pediatric clinical areas, managing both financial and human resources, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The position will report directly to the Chief Nursing Executive.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the PICU, CVICU, ECMO, and Pediatric Transport Team.Ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Develop and implement strategic initiatives to advance pediatric critical care services.Oversee the transport operation, ensuring safe and efficient patient transfers.Manage a team of 150+ FTEs, including three direct reports (managers).Handle budget planning and capital needs.Requirements3-5 years of pediatric leadership experience, with a focus on strategic thinking and quality improvement.Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required.Master of Science in Nursing or related degree, strongly preferred.At least one professional nursing certification.Epic experience is a plus.PeopleSoft or other HR software experience is a plus.Communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, customer service, decision making, financial/budgeting, teamwork, time management, collaboration, and motivational skills.BenefitsComprehensive benefits package.Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.Support from a dedicated team, including VP/CNE, financial team, and quality/analytics team.Exciting growth and advancement opportunities within the Baptist Health system.A fun and dynamic work environment in a leading children's hospital.Are you ready to make a significant impact in pediatric healthcare?
